This is one of 3 versions, and it is the first. This is simply a fortress map, the other 2 include defending the fortress against enemies with Create-a-Heroes and another with heroes with new powers.
This is a fortress which seems abandoned, and yet 2 armies try to either defend or capture this stronghold. The stronghold is a safe haven for those braving the harsh weather of the mountains. Enjoy! And please leave comments :).

Runs very smooth because its a small map, but still, no lags at all.
Balance: 5
Fortress maps aren't supposed to be balanced :)
Creativity: 4
When I think misty mountains I think goblins, and there were very nice shafts to start with, but why not use the ettenmoors goblin fort and not helm's deep one ^^
Map Design: 4.5
Very nice texturing, and small details everywhere, very well designed map.
Story Instructions: 5

I did think of adding the goblins ettenmoors tower, (the really long hall one) but I wanted this to be like a fortress from ages ago and possibly built by men/dwarfs. |

Huh? No it ain't, not when I tested it. There are a few bugs concerning the signal fire but the only way to override that is to scale up the walls or use ini. |

Plays out very good, like a map from EA, A.I. rocks :)
Balance: 4.5
Very balanced
Creativity: 4
Fortress maps usually aren't (from their principle) overly innovative...
Map Design: 5.0
This is where the map excels. Everything is layed out very good, from the fortress to the creeps.
Story/Instructions: 3.5
There's a glimpse of a good story, this could be a very strong part of the map if developed more deeper imo.
