Ludson224 (MOTW) & Cinnis (Elves) vs. DeWhite[Jack] (Elves) & GDF | LORDAPOORV (MOTW)[/c]
Ludson224 (MOTW)
Build Order: Farm >>> Farm >>> Barracks >>>Farm
[c=green]Pros[/c]
[+] Stances. :)
[+] I was wondering if Aragorn so early in the game would put you off balance, but it was a really nice choice that was effectively used.
[+] Well done on the quick defeat of your first enemy. :D
[+] Very good forward barracks.
[c=blue]Averages[/c]
[=] Good use of Rallying Call.
[=] I don’t know why your spearmen kind of were afraid to fight, and ran back and forth while the Elves were destroying your Farm. Rather odd.
[=] Good placement on your first barracks.
[c=red]Cons[/c]
[-] When you build a stable, you need to use it; otherwise you’re just wasting money. More cavalry would have been better, since none of your enemies was using pikemen. Some knights would have been a nasty surprise.
[-] Move your units as one group, because when you spread them out , they’re more easily taken down, especially by those Elven archers.
Overall score: 3.5
A much better game on your part. You should teach your friend (or show him some replays that we have here) to help you more in the fights. Things to work on: teamwork (your friend was dying out there), micromanagement (which goes along with that), and using some elite units (Tower guard, Rohirrim, Rangers). Otherwise, well done.
[w]Question: Were the beacons a signal to your friend to come and help you destroy this Elven player more quickly?[/w]
Cinnis (Elves)
Build Order: Mallorn >>> Mallorn >>> Barracks >>> Mallorn
[c=green]Pros[/c]
[+] Stances. :)
[+] Glorfindel raised levels quite quickly.
[c=blue]Averages[/c]
[=] So-so use of Rallying Call.
[c=red]Cons[/c]
[-] You could not effectively defend your base (which was nigh impossible due to the location of his barracks.
[-] You always seemed to be running out of units, though you were continually buying more. *sad* What you need to counter that is two barracks.
[-] You found his barracks and then did not attempt to attack it again, opening yourself up for attack.
[-]
Overall score: 1
Your friend won this battle for you. Really, if this MOTW player had been more aggressive, you would have died very quickly. Things to work on: placing your units so that you can defend more affectively, attacking, teamwork, using a variation of units.
DeWhite[Jack] (Elves)
Build Order: Barracks >>> Mallorn >>> Lorien Warriors >>> Mallorn
[c=green]Pros[/c]
[+] I must applaud you on the excellent use of Glorfindel in the first major battle near your base. Having him on Asfaloth allowed him to trample the all-infantry, leveling up quickly. In addition, you knew precisely when to get him out of the fight.
[c=blue]Averages[/c]
[=] So- so placement of your barracks.
[=] You had one attack on his base that was very effective, and then that was it.
[c=red]Cons[/c]
[-] No stances. :angry:
[-] Lost builder.
[-] Did not even attempt to relocate. Essentially, you gave up.
[-] When you saw that all the enemy had was infantry, you didn’t make cavalry.
Overall score: 1.5
Like your teammate, you don’t have the knowledge or skill to finish off an enemy yet. You could have destroyed Ludson after your first attack, but you didn’t. You just sat there, which is what killed you. Don’t wait for the enemy to come to you.
GDF | LORDAPOORV (MOTW)
Build Order: Farm >>> Barracks >>> Farm >>> Soldiers
[c=green]Pros[/c]
[+] Forward Barracks really helped in your first attacks and raids, putting him off balance at all times. It was discovered, but he didn’t do anything about it for a long time.
[+] You destroyed many enemy buildings.
[+] Finally, an offensive rusher that can do it quickly!
[c=blue]Averages[/c]
[=] Nothing was really going on at home base. No upgrades, no Fortress defenses, no heroes (well, one, but he never moved after you bought him.)
[=] Same old things going on. You destroy his tree, he rebuilds it. Lather, rinse, repeat.
[c=red]Cons[/c]
[-] No stances. :angry:
[-] Your first use of Tom Bombadil was to attempt to kill Cirris’ Glorfindel when he had his barracks wide open at half health. Tom could have easily taken it out, making your win easy.
[-] You quit. It might have been for time reasons, but I believe you could have defeated Cirris and then (possibly) defeated Ludson. Maybe.
Overall score: 2
You have some basics down, such as rushing, but the higher elements are foreign to you. Work on teamwork, elite units, micromanaging, and finishing off your enemy. A valiant effort.
Overall Game Score:2.5
MOTW players, listen up. The best forward barracks attacker I’ve seen is right in this replay, though he did end disappointedly. Only watch this replay for that, because the rest is old hash. |
