Spore Heaven is worse. Forummer quality has dropped, it seems.

And as I said, we're pretty much all around somewhere. Just not here!

Some forums are worse.

Ever been to Napoleon: Total War Heaven? It didn't have a Golden Age. It was born dead, and doesn't even have any ghosts.

HG is definitely quieter nowadays. I do quite our community over at the Total War forums though. Hopefully that one doesn't fall to the wayside too soon!

Don't worry, it won't. It has been like 7 years since RTW came out, and we still get people joinning now, and quite a few oldies/regulars. Not as good as before, when it got like 10 Newbies each day, but still not bad.
posted 07-11-11 01:15 PM EDT (US)     1682 / 1866
No, I don't see Total War Heaven going down any time soon. RTW in particular keeps us going quite well!

In the interest of stimulating conversation, what are you peeps up to these days? I've recently been living in Spain, and am now travelling Europe for 8 weeks on my way home to NZ...

...for hopefully no more than 18 months, and then I'll be back rocking it as the only Kiwi in city X!

Well, a post is a post at least. And I find that image in particularly quite an entertaining response. I'm not sure why though.

Ooh, what were you doing in Spain?

As for me... I've been finishing up the last bits of schoolwork before I graduate, working full-time, and spending time with some amazing friends. Oh, and playing Minecraft.

Somebody else's turn!

I've been going to school and playing in my band (Which is really gaining momentum). I miss this place, it's been so long since I posted I thought I'd stop by. I can't believe I signed up here 5 years ago. Damn time flies. BFME2H and RTWH were such an integral part of my teen years, I'm getting all nostalgic for Adventurer's Corner, Forum Parties, and all those MSN group convos.

edit: i should have specified my new (actually good) band. not the one that's still linked in my sig

I was on exchange for six months. Not really happy that I have to go back to NZ... but hopefully I'll return to European shores early 2013. If the world isn't destroyed.

I've also been playing Minecraft. Fun game! RTW on occasion, and I'm now a regular over there.

Good evening, gentlemen.

I'm at uni doing chemistry, so I'm getting less time for this. Which is annoying- I can see the long wind down that affects others approaching me. Still got juice in the old tank though.

I'm at uni too, doing medical work...

I'm glad to see TBG and Gandalf popping in here though.

Yeah it's great to get back over here. I never feel like I get around here as much, since most of my time is spent as an Admin at Revora, and posting frequently in the Blizzard Starcraft II forums.

Franey! Good to see that name. Mind throwing out a link to the new band?

You have no idea how much I'd love to visit New Zealand. But still, that sounds like a really sweet exchange. Why Spain, out of curiosity?

And EoJ, old friend. First off, I am horribly disappoint. Who's going to hold off the threat of Jupitor now that you're busy fighting Jupiter? :P Second, it's awesome to see you still around here. Third, this is really so weird... all of us in college and whatnot. How long do you have left?

Sir Hugh.. how's everything been? I just realized how much I miss everything that went on here, even (especially?) the debates.

I got Yeeb to get a code to change the spelling mistake on this forum, it still shows up in its original form on the others

I've done my first year at uni, so I've got 3 years left. I'm going to try and switch to a year abroad, though, I think, perhaps to Canada or something.
What are you doing, Gandalf?

Anyone played Portal 2 out of interest? It's brilliant

Good to see you too gandalf!

The Scally Cap Brats

it's a folk punk band. I play the mandolin. All we got up there right now are some rough demos while we mix and do some overdubs on our EP.

eidt: Actually listening to these demos after six months is kind of cringe-worthy for me.

Here's our Youtube channel

and EoJ, after all this time there's something wrong about seeing your username spelled correctly. haha.
