TEK Productions Interview
KingDuku generously agreed to give us an interview about his designing group, TEK Productions. BP conducted the interview. Below is a transcript of the questions and answers.
Q: What is TEK all about? What are your aims?
A: KingDuku: We aim to make high quality modifications for Battle For Middle Earth 1/2.
Q: What is TEK's prime project at the moment, and what can you tell us about it?
A: KingDuku: Well our main project at this moment is "The Hobbit Expansion Pack". This modification will add six new factions, and remove the old original factions from the game. The new factions will be Mirkwood, Erebor, Gundabad, Dol Guldur, Esgaroth and the Shire. They will all have many new units and heroes, as well as unique fighting styles and gameplay.
Q: Where can you see TEK in the future?
A: KingDuku: I can see TEK becoming a great and well known modding team for many games, not only BFME1/2. Who knows, maybe some of our members will get into the game industry one day!
Q: You seem to be well known in some communities, would you say this reputation is well earned?
A: KingDuku: Yes, I would say it has been earned extremely well. It has taken me a while to learn the skills I know now, and I thank the modders such as "nickthemenace" and "halbarad" for great amounts of help at the start of my modding career.
Q: What if anything has TEK got planned for us in the future?
A: KingDuku: We have a few un-announced modification ideas that we would like to do in the future. But they won't be announced until our current mods have been completed. Sorry!
Q: And to a question I've always wondered, what in fact does TEK stand for, if anything?
A: KingDuku: Now that is a good question! At the very beginning of TEK productions we only had 3 members. Their names where tkelly,elessar and kingduku. Put together the first letter from each and what do you get? TEK! So our name really doesn't mean anything except the founders of the team.
