Legends - Part I: The Three

Author File Description
File Details
Number of Players: 3
One Ring: No
AI: Yes

The Dread Shadowmage, Raselas, has gathered an army to destroy what remains of the ancient Three Wills, and conquer all who oppose him. New heroes will rise and stand against the forces of darkness, to restore the sanctity of the old and ensure peace to the lands of good.

Play solo or with friends online using three Create-A-Heroes plus three completely new heroes that will join you as your journey progresses. Complete the side quests you are given to obtain valuable experience and loot, which you can later spend at the shops to buy powerful magical items.
Face enemies you have never seen before and explore a completely new universe, far from the tales of middle earth.

- Play solo and control all heroes, or up to three players coop for the best adventuring experience.
- Classic RPG elements: Experience the feel of the old classics while enjoying the epicness that only bfme2 can provide!
- Completely revamped CaH abilities: Pretty much all abilities and spells have been changed to make them all useful. While some abilities have been made stronger (Axethrow, Shield Bash, Lightblast, Arrow Storm, etc.) some others are not as overpowered as before (Whirlwind, Coerce/convert, the Heal glitch, etc.)
- 8 Boss fights that will take the most of your combat skill
- Item shops!
- Play the full version or beat each part separately (more suited for online play)
- No mods! This map can be played online like any other with no need for additional downloads (Read Notes for Multiplayer below)

Please remember to read the map instructions before you play.

Map Installation
Extract the file to your maps directory.
If using windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files\Maps
If using windows Vista: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files\Maps

Remember you will only be able to see this folder if you can view HIDDEN files. Make sure, otherwise you will not see the folder.

Notes for Multiplayer and Online Play:
To prevent OUT-OF-SYNC errors, make sure everyone RESTARTS their game BEFORE playing the map. You may also need to restart after playing.

If playing online, make sure the player under the host is a Brutal CPU to avoid the map transfer bug.

Parts II and III will be available for download soon.

RedEyex Holy crap this looks very nice..I'm going to leave my views asap when I've played it :)

Might I ask, how do you change certain stuff while making a map, like nerfing spearthrow etc, 'cos I'm just about alright at basic scripting and I'm quite confuzzled about how these maps are made.

Modifying existing stuff and creating new ones (such as the new monsters in this map) can be done with coding. Take a look at the Map.ini file contained within the download :)

RedEyex k thanks :)
Map Design5.0
Playability: 4.5
(It was great! Me and my friends played for quite a long time before giving up to go to bed, however it took us 2 goes before passing the first level so maybe we're just noobs but it was pretty damn challenging..)

Balance: 4.5
(It was quite hard to start off with but as long as you get the main drift, you tend to pass to next levels with less sweating.)

Creativity: 5
(The Rock Gollum was brilliant, cinematics were outstanding, what more can I say?)

Map Design: 5
(Absolute genius. Hills where there are meant to be hills, waterfalls, caves, everything was in the right place. )

Story/Instructions: 5
(Clear solid instructions..and a very playable storyline.)

Additional Comments:
I ran out of synonyms for good. Oh and just one thing tho, glitched heroes can still play without a synch error. But overall, genius.

Cool thing you got to play with friends!
The map can be played solo but it's much more fun played multiplayer ;)

Thank you for commenting on it, glad you guys enjoyed playing the map!
Felix90 Do you have to have the game authentic in order to play this map? 'Cause I have a crash report whenever I try to load it - all three parts of it - and it seems quite exciting :(

You need BFME 2, version 1.06
The map won't work on the Witch King expansion or an old version of the game.
Kronnor this map is awesome...i think that is the best map i ever seen
