Hi everyone,
The latest and biggest update (1.04b) has just been completed and uploaded to this site.
Loads of excellent and radical gameplay changes - too many to list here.
Check out the new official web page at;
http://mywebpage.netscape.com/snigglesxxxx/instant/lordoftherings.html
or download the mod and look at the new detailed readme.
I think this will be my final update for this excellent game. I don't think i could improve the single player experience any further unless i were to add new units or buildings.
I absolutely love the gameplay now and i hope you all do too.
Let us know if i have increased the fun factor for you guys and post back here or in the forums. Would love some feedback - might encourage me to do another full mod for the witchking expansion (if it needs it)
I am well known in the modding section of the official BFME2 forums - as sniggles9999 (sniggles).
I have decided to share my work with you guys and i hope you like it.
Includes loads of gameplay improvements and extras - too many to list here - have a look at the full and detailed readme in the zip.
It will be worth your time.
Everyone seems to like it - I hope you do to.
If you like it and get the time could you leave me a quick rating - Thanks.
This is the latest 1.04 version which has been tested with the official 1.04 patched BFME2 game.
Any longer comments or suggestions please pop over to the 'World Builder and Game Mods' forum section and start a thread etc.

I wish someone would make a mod where in War of the ring mode if you win a battle in a certain territory all of your building would be there if another battle occured in that territory. |

sorry but i like mods that add things like new powers and heros i dont like mods that screw up the game by making it take me 5 hours to beat a AI on easy. If we wanted hard we would choose brutal and why dont you just make a new difficulty instead of screwing the whole game up. D: sorry for being meen but im jsut being honest. I still like the fact you put alot of work unto your mod and i hope other people like it more then me. |

No problem pipinowns,
I appreciate any comments and feedback. Thanks for taking the time to add your input.
My mod is going to make battles more 'epic' and that is just how i like most of my PC games. Maybe i have toooo much time on my hands - LOL.
I know it is not going to be for everyone.
You have to admit though - didn't you think the Fortresses and walls etc in the standard game were really pathetic - you could wipe out the whole enemy base with one horde if you rushed up there quick enough. |

I would just like to mention perhaps a small modification to the mod. Perhaps have it to where siege equipment is outside the range of towers. There is no point to have long range siege equipment if arrow towers can destroy them. If you could possibly tell me where the change in the file could be made, that would be appreciated. Or, perhaps others noticed the same thing... Thank you so much for the mod, I am pleased otherwise, it would just be nice to use siege equipment without towers taking them out :)

Hi Nytmare10
Glad you liked my mod. I appreciate your suggestion but i primarily started this mod because of annoying problems like the AI being able to destroy your castle and towers from out of range.
If you were preoccupied elsewhere on the battlefield you could have most of your defenses and base destroyed by a few enemy siege units.
You can't have it both ways unfortunately - my mod is good for defense structures but is a challenge for when you attack. This is how i wanted it and if you look at the first comments you will see others do too.
I find the best way to attack there towers etc is too send in your infantry and cavalry first to give the defenses something to focus on and then sneak your artillery up to pound them while they are distracted. |

Ah, I see your strategy. Would you be as so kind to point to where in the .INI files that the range of the towers are defined? Only for my sake I would like to tone down the range, thats all. Thank you for the prompt response. If you could, please send a response directly to my personal email, it would be appreciated.

Thanks again!!
