Hi everyone,

The latest and biggest update (1.04b) has just been completed and uploaded to this site.

Loads of excellent and radical gameplay changes - too many to list here.

or download the mod and look at the new detailed readme.

I think this will be my final update for this excellent game. I don't think i could improve the single player experience any further unless i were to add new units or buildings.

I absolutely love the gameplay now and i hope you all do too.

Let us know if i have increased the fun factor for you guys and post back here or in the forums. Would love some feedback - might encourage me to do another full mod for the witchking expansion (if it needs it)

I am well known in the modding section of the official BFME2 forums - as sniggles9999 (sniggles).

I have decided to share my work with you guys and i hope you like it.

Includes loads of gameplay improvements and extras - too many to list here - have a look at the full and detailed readme in the zip.
It will be worth your time.

This is the latest 1.04 version which has been tested with the official 1.04 patched BFME2 game.

cos120275 Wow...It's about time our bases are out of range from the enemies siege weapons. I'm tired of them hitting my base but my long range upgrades won't reach the enemies seige weapons. Great job. Best mod work done so far. Well done. Keep us informed on more work. That was my main pet pieve in the game. "Cos" in Denver
cos120275 One other thing... Can you fix the problem where when I play the maps with Minas Tirith or Helm Deep or Isengard the AI doesn't close the main doors or make doors to access the outside. They just remain open all the time. Is it me or has anyone else noticed that? Is it in your patch? I didn't see it.

Thanks for the kind words Cos120275,

I will see if i can work out the problem you mentioned about the gates with the original game. Might be beyond my editing and scripting abilities though. Anyone else work out the fix please let me know. It is the kind of improvement i would like to include in my gameplay mod.

bugga i cant seem to find the map called "Bases" can anyone help me please?

Hi Bugga,

You mean the file or folder called ' bases ' i presume.

It should be in your main Battle For Middle Earth folder and if you haven't unpacked any of your files it will be called ' bases.big ' and the graphic or icon representing the file looks like a ' torn page '

It is not a normal yellow folder if that is what you are looking for.

You remove this and keep somewhere safe and replace it with the unpacked yellow folder in my mod.

Hope this is the info you needed.
bugga thanks Sniggles i found a way to change the file "Bases.big" but i still cant seem to get it working i copied the original bases.big and edited (placed your files in it instead) the one that i left in the bfme2 folder but i cant seem to get it working can you help me please ?

Hi Bugga,

I am not sure what you have done. It should be really easy to use my mod since you just replace the 2 files INI and BASES with the 2 files in my mod.

If you are still having trouble then drop me a line at my e-mail below and i can give you more detailed help;
