NOTICE

1.Be sure to have updated your game to the 2.01 official patch

2.Be sure to have a backup of the files that will be relaced in case you want to return to the unmodded version

3.If your game is currently a modded version, it may not work.


FILES

Libraries.big - this is where the Spellbook purchasing scripts are.

englishpatch.big - contains the descriptions of the new skills, its the text you see when you read what the skill does

Maps.big - Just found this in the internet, it raises the camera's maximum height

Ini.big - Everything else i guess

*There is a bonus player created map file "Custom Hero Challenges" which is the same as the one posted here in bfmeheaven, but this has been modified to work properly with this mod. (If you played the one thats in bfmeheaven site, the heroes with map wide ranged abilities like gandalf blink and saruman lightningbolt will interrupt your 1v1 match with other heroes)


INSTRUCTIONS

1.There will be four .big files inside: the ini, libraries, Maps, and englishpatch

2.Copy paste the files called "Ini", "Maps" and "Libraries" inside the BFME2 ROTWK folder

3.The "englishpatch" file on the other hand goes inside the "lang" folder found inside the BFME2 ROTWK folder

4.You are ready to play


What started out as me slightly changing the data in the ini.big file to my liking, to now me giving some abilities to other units. Throughout the many times i played this game i wondered "Why isnt the AI using this ability?" or "Why doesnt this unit have this ability?" or "The computer can actually be strong if it used this ability!" so i decided to see why looking through the ini.big file. I noticed around half of all the abilites doesnt even have the needed code for computer to activate it. I added ai codes to almost all the abilities i could find. (I spectated many brutal difficulty 6 player computer vs computer matches to verify if an ability activates or not) I fixed practically all of it.

This is an updated version of my previous mod. It fixed some of what was not part of the previous version and added abilities to Custom heroes, heroes, and other units.

Here are what to expect most
- Almost all abilities are AI usable, the only ones that dont have AI are the ones computer can never properly use (like teleport army lv 2-3) or an ability that will not help them (like bloodlust which will cause Isengard's faction to eat itself, literally)
- New abilities and stat changes to many heroes
- In general, heroes are stronger, but not to the point they can become a one man army (well... until a wizard reaches rank 10 maybe)
- Hard and Brutal Computer can now purchase and use all spellbook abilities (only fixed hard and brutal difficulty) (Easy only purchases 1st stage spellbook and medium only up to 2nd stage)
- Custom Heroes get a lot of new abilities, maxing out the ability list. (The ability list can hold 21 non-chained abilities, adding more will make other abilities disappear by exceeding the list) Also any custom hero class can be used by any faction
- Wizard class has staffs with different weapon properties, be sure to try all of them

More changes can be read through the notepad inside the zip file. Please read the bottom sections for the latest update changes.

NOTICE: Custom Hero's AI doesnt work on player created maps. (worldbuilder) Dont know why but thats the way it is. All other units have perfectly working AI, so its only the custom hero.

I will try to update the mod every now and then, I only mod the game when i feel i wanna change or add something to make it more fun.

Aclar02 About to Dl and try this. All of the changes sound great. I wonder how hard it is to undo this mod just in case. Also, I found this mod while trying to find a mod that adds an additional army. I have never really stopped playing this game w my brother, we have extra maps and it would be cool to have a new army to play with.

All you need to do to undo the mod is to delete the three files and put back the original files.

I suggested to everyone your mod as a best create a hero mod ever maded and it is true.
I dont want dissapoint anyone but noone, even edain mod has not better create a hero than yours.
This is a best mod here trully. I am godly thankfull that you realized my hope about weapons in game. it.. it was trully cool and i was so happy... you are such best and sadly you have not time, if only would possible i gifted my lifelime to you that you created total conversion for rotwk with fully new cash system and new buildings and powers..
Eh, sweat dreams.. i know it is impossible, because, i wont beg about it, i wanted only ask then will be released next update?

lord aic it is again me. I got some creative ideas for your mod.
i am only started modding and as begginer changed for me some small things like atribute points.
sorry if i am troubling to you and dont need my ideas, but anyway i will tell it.
first idea was make some cool necromance clothes and masks for wizzards, you will agree, this is wizzard mod at last.
second, would be cool add some necromancy spells as rise of bones, or brake hearts(one hit kill enemy heroes or soljiers
i fully realising how dificult thing is modding, i even cannot imagine how you could do such hard work, it seems imposible to do, now i understood why everyone says that it is expert level.
I havenot anything to say that you must do that, you are not obligate, you werenot obligate even in this that you did for me, but i hope you will like my ideas.
If you like my ideas i will send images or robe and mask examples. i think necromancy spells you knot better than me.

I dont know how to make new models or gears unfortuately, i self taught myself on how to mod bfme, and making and adding models was something i didnt look into. All i did was add lines of code that adjusted or mixed together already existing in game resources to make new abilities. For example, i took the beast slayer arrow and fire arrow models, put them together, then instead of an arrow hit i took isengard's mine launcher explosion effects, modified damage numbers, then hwala, explosive arrow.

As for necromancy abilities, not sure how to make this work. I can make abilities that weaken or debuff enemies, but there are already existing ones like dread wrath that do it. Or maybe an ability like morgul blade is what youre looking for, where if enemy dies he becomes a wight, or whatever object i choose. I honestly dont want to just give the wizard the spellbook wight summon because it doesnt feel like raising the dead. Ill look into it if i have time.

One hit KO abilities are out of the question though, in a game where heroes play pivotal roles, its best not to have it. Its the reaso i also removed incincibilityfrom the ability list

lord aic If adding new models is imposible, may be you can add souron, nasgul and witch king armor? there models are already in game.
I see i am annoing you, because i dont understand one thing called balance, but i think balance is only ilusion. dark side was really more stronger and it was reality.
I wish if you ever can some time, can you do for me your mod, dont care about balance, i dont need it, do enything that you ever wanted, for example summon undead army, or undead bodyguards, enything that you can. i know you have unlimited fantasy.
Balance for my only lie and illusion. i want feel true power as ruler of ring.
if you can, add ability wear ring and its power please, and can you give hero 2 line of powers? if can add it too.
I will be happy as child at chrismas daylight, i beg you, if you ever have time, if you can, do it for me.

I really tried do this for myself but i am looser, i have not any abilities, havenot left any. you know why. but this mod.. your mod is briliant man, it is best mod ever done, noone could something similar for many years, everyone says that it is imposible, only you could.
I .. i dont know who you are, but for me big honor to meet you and even more honor to play your mod.
think about my offer, i know, it needs time, but, i dont believe that for you, it is more important then give someone hope and happyness..

Even to this day, i dont understand around 70% of all the files in the ini.big. i havent even touched the mod since my last update, i will see what i can do with your request and the limited modding knowledge i have, and of course the time i can spare. I will try to put the abilities you want, at least that i know how, as for models, im not sure

Long story short, i do not know how to put nazgul armor to CAH (if its even possible), or how the ring works in the game, and i cant give myself time to figure it out. I ecourage you to find a modder who is knowledgable enough to do that. I apologize, since its not the answer youre hoping for.

lord aic As i said, i understood your responsibilities. I am very glad that you are developing so faster, learning and trying be best for your family. it is best thing that you can do.
Don't worry about this. I already have seen your kind heart and for your kindness, i can say that everything will be ok, you will be best at family business and not only, good father and man.
I wish you best of all. Not worry, if i wont find anyone, i will learn how it works and you will became popular. This is my goal.
Even you will never have time any more, can only see how little kindness can change world, i promise.
Why i am doing this? we are going to heaven step by step, but sometimes cannot see how near it is.

-New Abilities for CAH Archer, removed train allies for a new ability
-New Abilities for CAH Wizard, removed Curse and Bombard ability (Do people even get these ablilities?) for two new necromancy abilities (just for Lord Aic =) and 2 new rank 10 abilities
-The CAH Wizard's Ability "Spell Mastery" now affects your basic attack, each having a different effect depending on which staff you chose.
*Purple Staff - More damage and enemies that are killed become wights
*Green Staff - Causes the earth around to rumble knocking down units
*Red Staff - More damage, area of effect, and fires a bigger firebolt
*Spiral Staff - The full length of the wind blast now deals decent damage unlike its unupgraded version;s insignificant damage
*Saruman Staff - Further doubles damage against creatures (Ents, Eagles Trolls, Mumakils, Dragons, etc.)
*Gandalf White Staff - Further doubles damage to nazguls and generally evil units (ghosts, undead, shadow monsters like balrog, shadewolf, etc.)
-Slight increase in Isengard's Ballista attack speed and faster buildtime
-Leadership ability for Azog
-Howl ability for Sharku
-CAH Wizard Avatar has an attribute adjustment
-Freezing Aura/Bolt now has much better looking animation (shade of wolf unsummon could effect)

Im gonna try to give myself some time for this mod. im currently just modding it around 30-45 min every other day, since thats the time i can give myself. I'll see if i can continue modding, or if ill just end up stopping again for personal reasons.
