NOTICE

1.Be sure to have updated your game to the 2.01 official patch

2.Be sure to have a backup of the files that will be relaced in case you want to return to the unmodded version

3.If your game is currently a modded version, it may not work.


FILES

Libraries.big - this is where the Spellbook purchasing scripts are.

englishpatch.big - contains the descriptions of the new skills, its the text you see when you read what the skill does

Maps.big - Just found this in the internet, it raises the camera's maximum height

Ini.big - Everything else i guess

*There is a bonus player created map file "Custom Hero Challenges" which is the same as the one posted here in bfmeheaven, but this has been modified to work properly with this mod. (If you played the one thats in bfmeheaven site, the heroes with map wide ranged abilities like gandalf blink and saruman lightningbolt will interrupt your 1v1 match with other heroes)


INSTRUCTIONS

1.There will be four .big files inside: the ini, libraries, Maps, and englishpatch

2.Copy paste the files called "Ini", "Maps" and "Libraries" inside the BFME2 ROTWK folder

3.The "englishpatch" file on the other hand goes inside the "lang" folder found inside the BFME2 ROTWK folder

4.You are ready to play


What started out as me slightly changing the data in the ini.big file to my liking, to now me giving some abilities to other units. Throughout the many times i played this game i wondered "Why isnt the AI using this ability?" or "Why doesnt this unit have this ability?" or "The computer can actually be strong if it used this ability!" so i decided to see why looking through the ini.big file. I noticed around half of all the abilites doesnt even have the needed code for computer to activate it. I added ai codes to almost all the abilities i could find. (I spectated many brutal difficulty 6 player computer vs computer matches to verify if an ability activates or not) I fixed practically all of it.

This is an updated version of my previous mod. It fixed some of what was not part of the previous version and added abilities to Custom heroes, heroes, and other units.

Here are what to expect most
- Almost all abilities are AI usable, the only ones that dont have AI are the ones computer can never properly use (like teleport army lv 2-3) or an ability that will not help them (like bloodlust which will cause Isengard's faction to eat itself, literally)
- New abilities and stat changes to many heroes
- In general, heroes are stronger, but not to the point they can become a one man army (well... until a wizard reaches rank 10 maybe)
- Hard and Brutal Computer can now purchase and use all spellbook abilities (only fixed hard and brutal difficulty) (Easy only purchases 1st stage spellbook and medium only up to 2nd stage)
- Custom Heroes get a lot of new abilities, maxing out the ability list. (The ability list can hold 21 non-chained abilities, adding more will make other abilities disappear by exceeding the list) Also any custom hero class can be used by any faction
- Wizard class has staffs with different weapon properties, be sure to try all of them

More changes can be read through the notepad inside the zip file. Please read the bottom sections for the latest update changes.

NOTICE: Custom Hero's AI doesnt work on player created maps. (worldbuilder) Dont know why but thats the way it is. All other units have perfectly working AI, so its only the custom hero.

I will try to update the mod every now and then, I only mod the game when i feel i wanna change or add something to make it more fun.

-New abilities for CAH
-CAH is more resistant to magic damage (still hurts alot)
-Weakened silverthorn damage, especially on heroes
-Made brutal difficulty slightly less brutal
-Renamed the leadership of king heroes "High Leadership"
-Gothmog has the new ability "Siege Commander" which gives +100% damage to nearby catapults, trebuchets, and ballistas. Increased his cost
-Fixed isengards spellbook purchase chain (only noticed the mistake when playing isengard)

Update: Septembber 19, 2016

-New abilities for CAH, especially the Men Hero, which gets differnent kinds of leadership buffs
-CAH bow damage was slightly strengthened
-Berserker Rage gives slightly increased armor and slowly reduces per increase in level. (its still a really op buff)

This Update was mostly to give Men hero more abilities

Here is a christmas gift to all who downloaded my mod!

-Weakened brutal difficulty (originally i wanted brutal to be unstoppable and handicapping or 2v1-ing was the only way to beat them)
-Adjusted revive Cost of heroes
-New abilities for CAH, especially the troll and dwarf. ALL hero calsses have 21 non chained abilities and cant have more!
-Spellbook summons have upgraded gear; 10 point powers have 1 upgrade, 15 or more are fully upgraded (if they have upgrades)
-Increased health of walls and expansions (this was alot more time consuming than i thought)
-Weakened regular attack of CAH (they were getting to strong with all the boostings they can get with passives and aura buffs)
-Strengthened men units and slight buffs to a few of their heroes
lord aic hi, i am your big fan, this mod is great, i am playing this mod more than 9 month and it is amazing, i know how dificult thing is programming and i was shocked than i found here this great mod, i love you for this..
i saw other mods here too and found something usefull if you can, use it. i am speaking about summoner mod. from here you can learn how give heros more than 10 powers and it is great, believe me. please add this thing in your mod and if can,
add ranged fire for mages please.
this mod will be first great hero mod, even great than master hero mod.
at last, would be better update hero skins and armor, add them more and entance, that every weapon or armor had own power, healing for example and better textures.
i wish you good luck, then or if i can learn programming ever, i will try to do this or if you will do this i will be happy

Thanks, im actually surprised i got a comment from someone complementing my mod as one of his favorites, considering the relatively few downloads compared to others.

Im sorry but i dont have the time anymore to make big changes to the game, and i had an idea on how the mod should be and i want to keep it that way. I sometimes make small changes every now and then, and then go on a long hiatius before thinking of modding again. (if i ever come back)

You or someone you know that can mod can can get this and alter it in any way they like. You can even edit it and post it here in the bfme heaven page as a new mod if you like. (Im gonna try your mod if ever) But pls let me know about it and do give me credit if you do so, just a mention is fine.
lord aic i am playing lord of the rings more than 10 years and it if my favorite game, i like very much bfme 1 and i started playing rotkw than saw your mod. i llove now rotwk too for this mod and you must know, better to create something for small group, who really understands and waits to you every hour, every minute of their little life, than for people, who downloading mod many times but don't know even what are changed.
i got that than i became a creator too, i am writher, novelist and know how it is important.
i understand, time is strange thing allways is so less than needed. i cannot give you orders to create something, it was fool, i had only best wishes, i cannot modd something now, but if i learn, i let you know if i will use your mod, i am law protector at last.
i wish you best of all posibilities, if you will think in future return or nor, remember, i am waiting to you, i will wait you until the and.
i am very ill now and posible i will die for 3 years, i let you know if i couldnot take my promise about waiting until the end, but untill the end i will play your beatifull mod.

-Blackriders are now summoned individually from the siegeworks
-The staffs of the custom hero now has unique properties: (this i did upon request of lord iac)
*Purple Staff - melee, temporarily reduces max hp, armor, and attack by a little, as well as half movement speed
*Green Staff - melee, the earth shakes and causes units to be knocked down in a bigger area than normal (The bridge of kazad dum, the 3 trolls scene in the hobbit, and when he broke the rock at goblin town gave me the idea)
*Red Staff - ranged, fires a bolt of fire at a far distance, but has reduced damage and area
*Spiral Staff - ranged, fires a wind blast that hits its target and knocks down units that venture into the wind's path (has reduced damage and at low setting the wind blast becomes invisible)
*Saruman Staff - short ranged, deals more damage to creatures
*Gandalf White Staff - short ranged, deals more damage to nazguls and balrog


I had thought of making different properties for each staff before, but wasnt able to put it. But now that its here, choose your weapon wisely!

If it is ok, can i get feedback on how strong brutal difficulty is and if you did manage to beat it. I want brutal to be challenging but also beatable. I personally am able to beat brutal difficulty if, and only if, i have brutal allies in front of me to protect my base as i build up and become stronger. (even then i lose more than win) Let me know if you think i should weaken brutal or keep it as hard ast it is right now. Thanks

----------------------Update: April 19, 2018-----------------------------------------

-fixed problem where CAH wizard damage attribute modifier doesnt effect regular attack damage, though it doesnt increase as much as the other CAH (because magic damage is not affected by the damage attribute)
-Structures have increased armor against cavalry and slash, and even more against pikemen and archers (mainly a buff for the dwarves, but also since structures were breaking too easily)
-New Abilities for CAH Wizard and Men
lord aic i am glad see this big update. thanks to you. this is great mod as i said. i have no words to thank you for such nice work. i couldnot even post and than i stood up at last and saw this, i was like god. my happyness has no limit.
thanks to you good man. i am very thankfull, i will never forget this. i am sitting now and instaling rotwk again to play this mod. i am alive yet.
