Brass instruments are fun, but I'm going to have to stick to my Tenor Horn.
Listening? Depends what context. There's nothing that beats a legato Horn counter-melody against strings, though.

To paly, I can only paly the piano (or sing, but I sort of rpefer the piano even if I am one of thsose irritating people who sing all the time).
To hear? Voice definitely. There's so much more variety in different voices than between otehr isntrument sof the same type.
Play: Eb Alto Saxophone (I am saying this for everyone in my school's band: Go Band!)

Electric guitar to listen to, drums to play

nothings better than hearing someone pound the skins. I can listen to drums all day. They are also the best instrument to play. Don't try and argue. I'll kill you. That being said Bagpipes are in second place for listening and playing. Though I'm just learning right now it's a lot of fun. There's something that brings out your emotions in bagpipes...
Heh, this thread is making me want to pull out my violin again. I haven't played in about a year and half after having played for ten years (it's a long story, but I basically needed a really, REALLY big break from it). I would never take lessons again practice regularly, though. It would just be for fun.
Actually, I do love Irish bagpipes, find that any rock song with a piano in it somewhere is a hit, and some of the acoustic guitar stuff is amazing.

Hear: Hard, but I'd probably have to go with trumpet or maybe violin. Or clarinet if it's played very well. Play: Considering I only play one, I'd have to go with clarinet.

I am a pianist by profession, so that would be my favourite to play, although to listen I like the human voice! (without vibrato)
I think for me it depends on the piece of music though, sometimes piano, sometimes violin...

Metal.
I like the classic combination of drums, bass, and electric guitar to listen to, or acoustic guitar with vocal harmony. Definitely the drums to play.

Metal.
I take it you don't like metal?
Just listen to "Templars of Steel" by Hammerfall, I think you would like power metal.
Other instruments I like: Bagpipes Violin Drums Acoustic Guitar Irish Flute Piano Organ *Especially in very dark, gothic sounding songs*
