6th Semi-Annual BFME2H Awards Discussion Thread

Good morrow my dear fellows, and welcome to the auspicious occasion which is referred to as the BFME2H Awards! The time has once again come for a Heaven wide popularity contest, where egos are stroked, hearts are broken, and I get nominated for 12 awards and fail to win any of them! Anyhow, without further ado, let me continue!

Righto, before I get into anything, I'm going to have to pick a presenter. Throw an email my way if you're interested, explaining why you want to host the awards, and why I should choose you. Don't get too lengthy, I am a busy man and have many important things to attend to, such as Cadets and women. Just give me the basics, and if you impress me more then anyone else, I'll pick you. Also, new people, don't be afraid to sign up, we're a friendly bunch, and you will be considered just as much as anyone else (more if other people have already had a go).

Now, as all of you know (well, maybe not NACHT JAEGER) there are multiple parts to the Awards process. They are as follows:

1. The Discussion Thread Taylor's House: Hang out, discuss the awards, make your case for why you should win one (doing so will ruin your chances, I assure you). Just have fun.
2. The Nomination Thread Taylor's Bar: Nominate people for awards. Remember, EVERYONE is a valid choice for a nomination.
3. The Voting Thread Taylor's Letterbox: Send in your votes. Don't vote for EoJ he ruined my geraniums.
4. The Presentations Taylor's Christmas/New Years Party: Awards are presented. Fun is had. Arvedui is sad. As am I, as I am not presenting. Someone amongst you is!

Now, lets take a look at the awards!

Remember, EVERYONE is a valid choice for a nomination.
It's not a valid choice. It's a lazy choice.

No one ever nominates the ones truly worthy of the prize.

Email you...? Why?

Ah! You wish to plot to overthrow this pitiful pretense of popular vote. Very well, I'd be glad for the opportunity to throw my iron fist around.

I won't be voting because I just started coming here so I don't really know anyone besides those who also go to the HoV or Saloon.

Do it anyway. It's a community event, and that little thread of yours made you part of the community. It's not like I'm going to bar you or anything. The more the merrier.

They're a good lot here, though I came just at the wrong time to win "best newbie" last time. Too early, and too late...

Anyway, yes.

You're still a newbie. Hell, everyone's a newbie.

List of non-newbies that still visit:
Sir Hugh
EoJ
Atzy
Mighty (I don't know anymore)
Ancalagon (who knows?)
Me

As you can see, the forum is numerically dominated by newbies, making it a very newbie friendly forum. It is very much the newbie forum. So do not be sad if you are a newbie, because you are part of the majority, and, as we all know, majority rules.

Be that as it may, it means that no one feels like a newbie. Therefore, only REALLY new people get classed as newbies.

I'm interested, though, to see how long it is before you're no longer a newbie, in your valued opinion.

Until me, Mighty and Anc either leave or get promoted. And none of us are going to be promoted any time soon, but Mighty and Anc seem to have left. So, pretty much, until I leave or revise my system.

I'm probably going to revise my system.

Yah well like 9 out of 10 of those who join AoMH just pop up and clutter SD with the silliest questions then disapear. Who's nominated for what?
