i use the zerg rush from time to time but what i would change is replace the warriors with archers. they cost less they take units down faster and there better vs heroes. a fiew zergs archers lurtz with cripple = dead hero.

ya a zerg rush is good on 4000 but its harder on 1000. and on 4000 if the enemy goes for a rush of there own its hard to stop them with 3 or 4 units and they can stop your rush with 2 or 3 archer batalions.
has anyone tryed a ram rush? i tryed it once on a smaller map where i could see there buildings and it can be devistating if they dont have units to stop it but he resigned before i could even destroy 2 buildings.

Rams just aren't a very effective unit in multiplayer. Catapults are a much better alternative, if any, because they have range. Rams are too slow and too weak to bother being protected long enough early game to do some damage. I know this because I've tried. You'll find early pikeman or cavalry just run them into the dirt.

i didnt think it was a good idea but later game they do do good damage vs unprotected buildings. but nothing beats the mine, if u can get the thing to explode!!
Funny story about mines: i was on a created map with a big wall but it had not much starting health. i sent 2 mines over to the wall, his hero tryed to use a fire bomb to stop them......bad idea. took out wall and his hero, it was so funny even he admited it was the stupedist thing he had ever done.
