i have been busy trying to make a nice fort with place for three factions inside it and 5 outside. there are 3 entrances to the fortress, as there are 3 playable factions inside it. each entrance is guarded by 2 gates. i would like to give each player inside the fortress his own entrance, but when there are less then 3 players i want to give the control of one of the gates to another player. for example. there is a gate for the men, elves and dwarfs. when all three are there each has his own gate. when the men are not playing i want to give the controll of the gate to another faction, for instince to the elves. when the men and dwarfs are not playing, i want the elves to have controll of all gates. is this possible.

then here is my ohter question when playing with all three they each have a different gate. but when one is eliminated the controll of the gate must go to another player if the gate is still there. is this possible too.

my last question for now, is it possible to lock player so that there are never less then 4 at the beginning of the game. what i mean is when you are setting up your game you can choose the faction you want to play and you can choose the AI but now i want the players to be able to choose between human and computer controlled factions but not being able to not let them play.

thanks in advance.

i hope it is possible

Ok.
First question's answer: Not really possible. You can't do this unless you have more than one map. I'd recommend having every player playing.

Second question's answer: This should happen automatically, I think. I may be wrong here.

Third question's answer: I really don't understand the question...

first question is very possible useing worldbuilder scripts.

second is already build into the game. but if ur map is gona have a lot of scripts then you may need more to fix glitches.

last question is impossible if i understand it correctly.

For the first question, you'd probably have to fool with the Player --> Faction and Start Position Scripts, then you could probably figure it out from there.

thanks for all the anwsers.

another question concerning this map, when there is one faction not playing i want the elves to get the builders from that faction. for instance, when beginning the game, all three are there. but when starting another game it is decided to leave the dwarfs out. is it possible to give the builders of the dwarfs to the elves.

thanks in advance

and a happy new year to all of you

Yep, you can do that using spawn scripts.

I'm not positive... but I think for the 2nd question you can use scripts... somewhat along these lines:...
Have a script that (upon the other players defeat) their gate is "team transfered" with the "Teams Other> Team Allegience"... I'm not sure of the script wording but it is similar to that...

_.,-=~+"^'`:Kyr Nlnar:`'^"+~=-,._
"n rans Helara" - "Live Well Friend"
"krnai Scar-lu" --- "krnai of Thirteen"
Remember Kids: "Kyr" rhymes with fire...

If you looked at the replies, you would have seen that that question was already answered...
