i downloaded the CSF editor, and try to open some CSF file with it, but all the files i extracted from the .BIG files are TGA format, not CSF

maybe because of this, when i try to open csf files with the csf editor, it can find none

what's going on

Welcome to BFME2H!
I would highly suggest reading my guide, "The CSF Files". It explains all about the files, and where to find them. It tells you there purpose, the way to open them - the whole thing! Very good reading if you want to look into them.

The guide specifies that as well!

Quoted from Mini Guide Series:

Where is it and what do I open it with?
The file is contained within the “English.BIG” file, which can be found in your /lang folder.
