I am pretty sure that is a "no", unless you make a bunch of maps with triggers and etc, but your unit will not have the same rank as it did in the last battle and etc like in the game's campaign. Not sure about that though.
There was already a thread on this BTW.

I think scripting may do the job for the problems you mentioned VVD.
I haven't researched into this, but I think if it will be possible, it will be very difficult. All the maps should be somehow linked into a continuous string though I think scripting will help in keeping a record of your heroes and powers etc.
Here's what you can do to explore yourself: go to the Miniguide series thread and check out how to extract .BIG files. Using the instructions, open the Maps.big file in your BFME2 folder and extract all the files related to one campaign. Then open the .map files in the Worldbuilder and study them, especially the scripts, to find if there's anything that is done to interlink them.
what about war of the ring... just make sure you can only go to one specific next map and make those maps with triggers n stuff that should work right?
Gaming is fun though don't forget to socialise IRL ^^

I´m no expert in world builder, however my advice would be to try things out. Its the best way of learning.

yes its possible to create new campains pshh n00bs ^_^
Perhaps you'd like to elaborate? What I wish to know is: 1. How can you keep a record of the, say, Powers already bought, from one map of the Campaign to another. 2. How are they interconnected. That is to say, where do they show up in the game, and how does the next map start once the previous is finished.
