Hi,
I'm fairly new to modding and I've made just a couple of changes to BFME2 but recently I thought I'd try and reskin Arvedui to make him different from Arveleg. The problem is that when I go to Arvedui in the game his model is purple and doesn't have a skeleton (he doesn't move his limbs). This is what I did:
I edited the isildur.dds texture in GIMP as a JPEG image and then applied it to isildur_skn.w3d in RenX. I think its whatever I'm doing in RenX that's the problem. I apply the texture using the Renegade Material Editor and export the model as a hierarchical model (not animated) and export using Isildur's existing skeleton (isildur_skl.w3d).

Once it's exported I would view it in w3d viewer and check everything is okay. I then copy and paste the w3d into the au folder in \art\w3d\ and the JPEG texture into the au folder in \art\compiledtextures\. The model appears as a retextured Isildur in w3d viewer. I go to arvedui.ini and change his Default Model to auarvedui_skn. When purchased in the game his model is purple and without movement.

Thanks,
I am really stuck
