PROBLEM SOLVED!
I had the same problem but after a while I succeeded.
It's something about the EnglishAudio.big - probably it's corrupted - but it's easily fixable. You have to change the file with the correct one (you can find it in the CD for example) and then everything will work fine!
In fact, if you try to open your file with Finalbig (a software which allows you to open .big extensions), it'll say that there's something wrong and bla bla bla. But when you switch it with the correct one, it'll be wonderful to hear all of these sounds and voices again (I used to play it in Italian but I have to admit that it sounds better in English).
