Replays

Replays are put into a folder of your computer. In order to acces them, you need to switch some settings first.

Open up 'This Computer', or Windows Explorer. Click on 'Extra', and then on 'Display. Browse down and check 'Reveal hidden maps and files'.*

Now to find your replays:

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\My Battle for Middle Earth 2 files\Replays

Or try this, thanks to Elven Slayer :

My Computer-->Tools-->Folder Options-->View-->Click on Show hidden files and folders

You can post these replays here at the site or put downloaded replays in that map.

*Do not mess with hidden files and maps. They are hidden for a reason.

Happy gaming, and I'm looking forward to see great replays of you guys!

This is in the Readme file as well, but I foresee that there will be people wondering about this; it's stickied .

If you follow my steps carefully you will find the map . If you need to create it yourself it doesn't work.

I hunted for the screenshots last night, high and low... and finally found them in a newly created The Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Screenshots folder in My Pictures

Unless you've already made a replay of your own, the replay folder isn't there. However, as said before, if you create a folder called "Replays" and put the replay in there, it works perfectly fine. In fact, I'm loading up Kester vs FD2 right now.

Whoa.

this doesn'T help I even created a folder that says "replays" and put the fiels in to no avail. My folder options already read view hidden files and folders.

I don't know this for sure, but try naming it with a large R, Replays. And are you sure you have the file and not the hole folder in there?

Bah i was thinking you had to put in the main folder. Got it to work though. Really needs a fast forward option. I watched one game and almost fell asleep waiting for the action to take place.

Why did Kester even take on that troll anyway in fd2 vs Kester?

Go to Start-->My computer. Then at the top is the drop-down menu for Tools.

That was just a practice game. My first time (IIRC) as Isengard, and FD2's first MP game.

Whenever i try to open a replay this thing comes up and it says Adobe Reader could not open "file name" because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). How can i download replays without this coming up and stopping me?
