IGN has posted a review of their hands on experience with the latest build of Conquest at German Games Convention in Leipzig.
"The team at Pandemic has made a flurry of improvements since E3, enriching the overall experience and promising players battle experiences in a representation of the world they've previously only read about and seen in the movies.
Something important to note about the creation of the game is that rather than building one scene to completion and then moving onto the next, Pandemic is working on the entirety of the game simultaneously. So in the case here, even though we'd seen the battle at Pelennor Fields before, and only a month ago, there was new stuff do see this time around, and the whole thing looked to be improved from almost every angle..."
Simultaneously, Gametrailers.com has posted another interview, revealing more about the gameplay--evil campaign and multiplayer modes--with footage playing in the background.

According the Hollywood Reporter, Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens have officially signed on to collaborate on The Hobbit film scripts with director Guillermo del Toro to be completed by late 2009 when filming begins. This is great news to anyone hoping for an adaptation rivaling the previous LotR Trilogy.

During the last two weeks, there have been three new submissions.
Four human players Assault Minas Tirith. Game is best with three or four humans, with two humans it is very hard, and one human only, hardly beatable. Computer must be in Minas Tirith.
Gameplay: Build an army and Siege Minas Tirith, if gate or any wall is destroyed the enemy will pour out like water. So better set an army is required, but note that the more you wait the more upgrades enemy units have.
Special Features: -Rohan arrive after 30 minutes from the start of game. -Three levels full of trebuchets. -Three levels of Minas Tirith accesible. -Movie/Book like Minas Tirith; every level has one stairs to the next. -Enemy reinforcment arrive at random. -Units have their real colour.
This is my first map, so you may see that textures are not the best. But they do not hurt your eyes. 3 Players start like in normal games, but they have to fight versus very strong waves. The first wave is for example versus some goblin warriors with forged blades, who come very early (each player might have 1 bat in this time). But the map is possible, if you work well and as a team. It becomes very cool later, when you have to fight versus big waves (Don't worry, it usually does not lag). The end is very funny, but play it urself to see why...
