Hobbit Rumors.
Posted on 7/18/2009 at 1:19 PM by Sir Hugh
A speculative article by Geoff Boucher in the LA Times has ignited ripples of flames across the net, rekindled by MTV, THLOR.net, and Telegraph over who Peter Jackson will announce to play young Bilbo. The perceived top contenders are David Tennant (10th Doctor Who), James McAvoy (The Last King of Scotland/Wanted), and Daniel Radcliffe (Potter!). There is also a suggestion that Jack Black is being tapped as well, but this is expected to just be good fun. PJ is expected to announce the actor at Comic-Con next week, and David Tennant is attending the fantasy convention for the first time to promote the longest running Sci-Fi show ever. Itís an entertaining rumor, so take it with several grains of salt. This does not rule out a CGI version of a young Ian Holm playing the part. Nonetheless, if Tennant takes the part, then it may delay the rumored Dr. Who movie.

Contrary to this, The OneRing.net has announced that ďa source inside the productionĒ has told them that they donít know if this rumor true. Maybe PJ has a surprise?
