That's right, Warner Bros. is getting a fast start with their newly acquired LOTR license rights. They have announced a new game, titled "Aragorn's Quest."
Fresh off Warner Bros. Interactive's acquisition of the Lord of the Rings license, a new game set in Middle Earth is on the way from the publisher, according to an official E3 list covering debut titles.
Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is billed as "the first Lord of the Rings videogame created specifically for kids and their families." The title will feature an "accessible gameplay set in a friendly, colorful rendition of Middle-Earth."

- Ashrzr has presented the 6th Semi-Annual BFME2H Forum Awards.
Finally, after practically half a year, the award show was upon BFME2H, and Ashrzr stepped up to the plate to host, well figuratively, literally he stepped up to the stage.
"Greetings, ladies and gentleman, and welcome to the 6th Semi-Annual Mafia Awards! Now as you all know, mafia is a great game played by a large amount of forummers here at HG and..."
Ash looked over at Blatant, the direction where harsh whispers were coming from. Blatant appeared to be quite angry.
"This isn't the mafia awards? Do we even have those here? Ah well, my apologies everyone, just excuse me, I was nominated for the most underrated forummer after all!"
No sound entered the auditorium but a small band of crickets chirping. Someone coughed. Ash had hoped it was someone laughing, he had gotten somebody to laugh! But no, the joke was terrible.
"Heheh... anyway, let's get on with the awards shall we? Take it away Blatant!"
The auditorium applauded ferociously as Blatant took the stage, and Ashrzr was sulking off, muttering something to the degree of, "Where was the laughter for my hilarious joke?"
The rest of the thread is here in the Prancing Pony. Congratulations, everyone on winning the Tolkien Award. :)

The fan film The Hunt for Gollum has been released. It's a 40 minute film prequelling the LotR Trilogy, relaying the search for Gollum based on footnotes from The Fellowship of the Ring. The film can be viewed at www.hunt4gollum.com and more information, stills, posters, trailers, desktops, production process can be found about the film site and at the film blog. A fan film to keep us sated until the first part of The Hobbit is released in December 2011.
Update: Their site has had a few issues with bandwidth, but legal torrents for the movie have unsurfaced, some of which can be found at isohunt.com.
