After feuding over the Hobbit for more than a year, New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson have reached an agreement to film the Hobbit. The two Hobbit films will be made simultaneously and will be released similar to the LotR trilogy in that one film will be delayed a year before its release. Jackson will be the Executive Producer and no director has been chosen, yet. Production is slated to begin in 2009 with releases in 2010 and 2011. However, it is still unclear whether the film will featured in 3D as rumored last month.

New mod announced- BFME3
Posted on 12/7/2007 at 3:55 PM by EnemyofJupitor

I'm sure most of us are hoping for BFME3, but some rather enterprising modders at have decided that actions speak louder than wishes.

Deciding to show EA that they still want a third instalment to the series, the leader Celebnor says:

The project is - the mod for lotr bfme2, called "BFME-3", full of new characters, units and special abilites...

The idea of this project is just to show EA that we all are still interested in BFME games....

Discuss it on the forums here.

Thanks for Sir Snoopy and Kyr Nelenar for the heads up!

The Hobbit in 3D?
Posted on 12/1/2007 at 5:41 AM by EnemyofJupitor

Yes, another PJ/Hobbit rumour, but this one adds another level to it. The book will be split into two films and marketed as prequels of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but wait!

Here is the kicker people: "The Hobbit" will be in 3D. Yes. You heard it on MarketSaw first - both Hobbit movies will be shot in 3D. FURTHER, New Line and Peter Jackson then intend on converting the Lord of the Rings trilogy into 3D as well and re-releasing them in theaters between 2012 and 2014!

While not the most reliable source in the world, how would you like to see the Battle of the Five Armies jumping straight at you? Discuss it here!

Thanks to Angel Sir Hugh for the heads up!
