The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Released!
Posted on 1/13/2009 at 11:46 AM by Atzy
The much anticipated hot new release by developers Pandemic Studios (makers of the well liked Battlefront series) has finally hit the shelves today.
"Players can choose to control their favorite heroes and villains including Aragorn, Gandalf, the Witch-king, the Balrog and even the Dark Lord Sauron. Players can also engage surrounding characters in the world such as wargs and oliphaunts, control catapults and balistas, and even play as giant creatures such as cave trolls and Ents. As well, fans can play through the campaign modes cooperatively via online or split-screen and relive their favorite battles competitively via four-player split-screen or online with up to 16 players."
Sounds like a jolly romp in Middle-Earth to me.

robnkarla popped in to give us a preview of the 1.06 RJ-ROTWK mod, 'coming in January or February'.

The Elven Faction has been split into 3 sub-factions... Over 15 new units and even more reskins have been done to bring to life Tolkien's Elves. Each unit has random skins to give variety as you battle. Use the RJ camera to immerse yourself into Middle-Earth.

Each sub-faction- Rivendell and Lothlorien in this update, Mirkwood is set for 1.07- looks different, and the screenies are excellent. Go here and check it out.
